Well one theory is that unless you want the knowledge desperately you wont get it.
And another theory is that your time for the learning & evolution is yet to arrive.
And another thoery is that there are 3 states of learning the Gita
1. Shravan - when you read or hear it
2. Manan - when you analyse it/ relate to your life
3. Nidhidhyasan - when apply the principles
and unless you progress from 1 to 2 , you shall never quite get it!
Another view is the Bhagavad Gita is best understood by a person who has qualities similar to Arjuna’s. That is to say he must be a devotee in a direct relationship with Krishna.
We all have a relationship with Krishna eternally. However in the material state of life that eternal relationship is covered and we are unaware of our relationship with Krishna. But the process of Krishna consciousness can revive that original relationship.
