Old & new versions of religion/Vedas

They say that Vedas are the oldest form of knowledge. The Veda's are the source of all the knowledge the human mind can ever desire or envisage.

The Purans and the various other mythological stories were created to convey this knowledge in a story telling mode. The Mahabharata falls in this category too. So anything that is written in the Gita is derived from the Veda's.

All religions new & old, say the same things. There is nothing new and it can all be found in the Vedas ( This is hear say, but I seem to believe it).

Now some people argue that the new religions are the refined versions. Just as Windows 7 is supposed to be better than its old version or the latest version of SAP is the smartest. But in case of Flour we are learning the more refined the grains more of the original qualities are lost.

In recent times we all have tendencies to follow a person or a group or an organisation. One should separate the principles from the person/organisation and follow the principles. Makes it simple.

In case of religions and spiritual groups , there is no better or worse. They all lead to the universal truth and each one does what suits the best.
